Office & Administration volunteer application

Volunteering is a great way to get plugged into the church, feel like part of a community, and serve Jesus at the same time. God has uniquely equipped every person in the Church with specific skills and gifts.

Ridgeview Church is looking to create a small pool of Office & Administration Volunteers who can be available during the weekdays to assist with office tasks such as answering phones, making copies, sending emails, helping with church supply inventory, printing and cutting special events and groups cards, and more. Computer experience and database clean-up and management is a huge plus, but we are willing to train those with a heart willing to learn and serve!

Commitment in Service

Recognizing the high privilege that is mine to serve God through the ministries of Ridgeview Church and trusting God to give me the strength to keep these commitments, I commit to:
1. Supporting the leadership of Ridgeview Church, and understand that I am under the spiritual authority of the elders and pastors. Faithfully pray for those I am ministering to, as well as the Ridgeview leadership.
2. Actively pursue God through worship, prayer, and Bible study. Strive to live my life in a way that would not knowingly cause those around me to stumble or fall but encourage those over whom I have influence.
3. Maintaining harmony and integrity in my family and personal relationships. Having a high moral conduct and character inside and out of Ridgeview Church. Using social media responsibly, honoring God with all my communication.
4. Guarding my time and being careful about accepting other commitments, so I am neither distracted nor the ministry decreased. Enthusiastically participating in the provided training opportunities.
5. Striving to speak words of life and encouragement to others, and refrain from gossip, slander, and sarcasm. Handling conflicts according to Scripture and Conflict Resolution guidelines.

Ridgeview Church – Statement of Faith
What We Believe at Ridgeview – Ridgeview Church has been formed as a fellowship of believers in the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Our supreme desire is to know Christ and be conformed to His image by the power of the Holy Spirit. We are not a denominational church, nor are we opposed to denominations as such, only to their over-emphasis of the doctrinal differences that have led to the division of the Body of Christ.
We believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, and the supreme and final authority in all matters of life and faith. (2 Tim. 3:16, 17; 2 Peter 1: 20, 21; John 17:17; 1 Pet. 1:23-25; Heb 4:12)
We believe in one God eternally existing in three equal persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, who have the same nature and attributes but who are distinct in office and activity. (Mat. 28:19; 2 Cor. 13:14; Eph. 2:18; Heb. 9:14; 1 Pet. 1:2)
We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect and complete sacrifice for the sins of all people by willingly dying on the cross. Further, He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where, at the right hand of the Father, He is now our High Priest and Advocate. (1 Cor. 15:1-9; Luke 1:35; Phil. 2:5-8)
We believe the Holy Spirit is the divine helper, assistant, counselor and instructor and His work is to reveal Christ, convict of sin, lead to repentance, guide believers, comfort, strengthen, and sanctify the soul. (John 16: 7-11; 2 Thess 2:7, Rom 8:9-17)
We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit mentioned in the Scriptures, and that they are valid for today if they are exercised within the scriptural guidelines. We believe that love is more important than any of these gifts, and without this love all exercise of spiritual gifts is worthless. (1 Cor. 12, 14, Eph 4:11 , 1 Thess 5:19 -22)
We believe human beings are the special creations of God, made in His image. They fell through the sin of the first man, Adam, and all human beings are sinners in need of salvation. (Gen. 1:26; Gen 3:6-24; Rom 5:12,19)
We believe that salvation is a gift of God and is received by man through personal faith in Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for all sin. We believe that man is justified by grace through faith apart from works. We believe in the security of the believer based on the Scripture. (John 3:16-18; 5:24; Rom. 3:21-24; 28; 5:1; 6:23; Eph. 2:8,9)
We believe that the Church, the Body and Bride of Christ, is a spiritual organism made up of all born-again persons. We believe that the local church is an assembly of professed believers in Jesus Christ who are voluntarily joined together in one locality for the purposes of worship, study of the Word of God, observance of the ordinances, Christian fellowship, and to be equipped for Christian service. (Matt. 16:18; 1 Cor. 10:32 ; 12:13 ; Eph 1:22,23; Acts 2: 42-47; Eph 4: 11-16; Heb 10:24,25)
We believe that the two ordinances to be observed by the Church are baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper. We believe in open communion for all people who have a personal relationship with Christ. (Matt. 20:18-20; Acts 2:38,41; Luke 22:19,20; 1 Cor. 11:23-26)
We believe that the local church is to be governed by elders (who are assisted by deacons when necessary) to equip the saints to carry out the work of the ministry. Elders and deacons are selected according to standards expressed by the New Testament. (1 Tim 3:1-13; Titus 1:5-9; Acts 14:23)
